Beginning with Bonsai
In this class, you’ll learn the basics of indoor bonsai, including basic wiring, repotting, tools, etc. (Tree, pot, soil, wire, and instruction all included in price.)

This class is structured just like the intro to indoor class, but you will learn more advanced material and receive a more difficult tree. Choose your tree and pot and you’ll learn how to re-pot, prune, and do an initial wiring of your tree. (Tree, pot, soil, wire, and instruction all included in price.)

In this class, you’ll learn the basics of outdoor bonsai. The specifics of the class itinerary will depend upon the time of year and which outdoor tree the class will feature.

All Day Bonsai Instruction
In this workshop you’ll learn the fundamentals techniques of wiring: planning the layout of your wiring, anchoring your wire, structural wiring, wiring of secondary branches, and finer detail wiring.

Bring a pine tree you would like to style or restyle and we will assist and provide detailed species specific instruction on how to care for your tree. You may bring your own wire; we also have a full assortment of aluminum or copper wire available for purchase.

Learn all about rock planting and go home with your own creation.

Learn how to make your own root over rock bonsai with our help! Cost includes a 6″ nursery ficus benjamina tree, pot, lace rock, soil, and any other materials needed for re-pot, plus instruction.

Additional Learning
Learn all about mame bonsai and pot up your own little tree to take home! You will have a choice of several different types of trees. Cost includes a tree, copper wire, locally made pot, soil, and instruction.

In this class, you will work with large narrow leaf ficus material. You will learn to re-pot large material and how to properly anchor your tree. Then, you will prune your tree to the shape that you want, with our guidance if needed. Price includes large narrow leaf ficus, pot, soil, and supplies needed for re-pot.
